When the band is on stage, it all depends on where you stand.  It's not like you have control over where they stand and the light and everything else.  If you use a prime lens, you also lose the control over your focal length.  So the only thing left is the timing and a little bit freedom on the angles.


So I only bring my camera when I know beforehand that I can get into first row and it's not too crowded.

I started off with a yellowish split toning template in lightroom and then fined tune it manually as well as keeping the contrast low to make the photo look more dated/retro.

The light wasn't perfect to begin with so it ended up more like an editing exercise.
