why not?  most foreign banks left china years ago, and not they go back, they still gain a big market.  unless baidu can go internationally in the next few years.  or china will take long long time to become democratic.

i said if the companies want to go internationally,  they will choose to use an international company rather than a local company.  so no matter how good is baidu in china, if it doesn't go internationally, the foreign company will still have good chance to take over its market share.  i didn't say any foreign bank is dominant in china.  I said they are easily get the market share.

what i said is those banks left china years ago, when they go back they can easily get in the market again.    i never use the word "dominate".

網上搜尋器一哥 Google，上周二宣佈退出中國巿場，將搜尋引擎轉移到香港，讓內地網民透過 Google.com.hk瀏覽沒經審查的搜尋結果，但前天（周二）該網頁在中國的搜尋服務幾乎癱瘓，意味 Google搜尋技術，不敵中國防火牆。前日下午 5時左右，內地網民陸續發現在 Google搜尋時，不管是「六四」敏感字詞或無關痛癢的搜尋，都顯示錯誤訊息。 Google初時發表聲明說，相信是因為提升技術後，部份檔案有「 rfa」字串，令中國防火牆誤以為與被禁的「自由亞洲電台」（ Radio Free Asia）有關。

但幾小時後，搜尋服務又回復正常， Google證實問題與 rfa字串無關，其間也沒進行過任何維修或更動，令人相信是中國防火牆作怪，顯示中國有能力堵截內地網民到香港 Google網站進行搜尋。內地網民很生氣，北京網友說：「我想立即衝到街上抗議。」他指當局堵截網友用 Google，會令中國被排除國際主流社會外。投資分析師溫斯坦（ Steve Weinstein）指出，「若類似情況不時出現， Google將會逐漸失去中國巿場佔有率。
