I was in air cadet too!
which squadron were u in? I was in 692 in Richmond

I asked my friend about the reserve today (who is already a coporal in her unit)
it sounds really not bad!

well there are only 655 and 692 squadrons for air cadets in richmond XD
so you can't be wrong

what rank were u? I was only a LAC >___>

yeah I should......I will find sometime to look up more information about applying and training later
but my mom is not really happy about the idea of being gone for 15 weekends for the training.....

I think cadet is good for kids here to learn and play.

they are less strict than cadets

even my friend in a lower level class got promoted to be a corporal
I guess I was not very involved and too quiet in cadet, getting not enough recognition =w=;;

why is it a joke?
we, air cadets, learn how to fly a plane for free, manage air traffic on the YVR control tower, fire rifle for free, attend parades along side the regular army/RCMP, get paid when  ...

I still remember for one rememberance parade
we had to stood attention for 2 hours (or something) in the cold and in the rain
rain was getting into my eyes ,but I couldn't rub it off cuz I was at attention

oh I love my basic training in the summer camp in Victoria
probably the heathiest days in my life: getting up at 6 doing my bunk and going to bed at 10 at night, haha. then classes and drill training for 2 weeks
I got homesick on the first day, but I ended up didn't really want to leave the base after the whole thing was done.
