行政長官曾蔭權今日表示，很高興得悉前中大前校長高錕教授奪得諾貝爾物理學獎的殊榮。

　　曾蔭權：「諾貝爾物理學獎是科學界的最高榮譽，我和香港市民衷心祝賀高錕教授獲此殊榮。高教授不但是一位傑出的科學家，亦是一位謙謙君子和有承擔的教育家。香港能夠有一位如此出類拔萃人物，是我們的無比驕傲。」

　　高錕教授於一九八七年出任香港中文大學校長，一九九六年卸任。

know-it-all Lik, you are actually very rude. When you want to discuss something, there is no need for you to be so rude.

In the case of Iceland, like you said, it was a hedge fund, that was exactly how they support their lavish lifestyle. Since it went bankrupt, they no longer have the means to support so much social programs.

If you look at all these social democratic countries, like France or Germany, they have high debt. The people do not have the motivation to work and the unemployment rate is high. These countries will go bankrupt sooner or later. At least Hong Kong with its big reserves will not.

With Japan having the largest debt-to-GDP ratio among major countries, it will go bankrupt first, then the US, then these socialists European countries like France or Germany. They are all living on borrowed money.
Canada is actually in a relatively good position, even with its big national debt.

And you're asking me to upgrade my knowledge on economics?!

And you have yet to tell me what the benefit of Hong Kong's awesome Gini coefficient has in relation to the city's tax rate.

If you look at those European countries, they are mostly in debt. Iceland went bankrupt, is a very good example of countries living beyond their means and running big debts. Sooner or later these other European countries will go bankrupt as well.
I believe that Norway has a lot of oil, so they maybe okay. But Hong Kong does not have oil, so they need to have low tax rates to attract investment. Please upgrade your economic knowledge.

If you look at the teachers here. The always go on strike when the exams are near. The governments are always in debt. So the only resolution is to squeeze more taxes from you. But Hong Kong has maintained a low tax system which the HK people support.

你條懵仔成日話香港個低稅率好，但你又知唔知道香港低稅率嘅最大受益人係邊個？點解香港個堅尼系數係亞洲同區之內最高嘅一個？點解歐州國家（特別係北歐雪國如丹麥）能夠做到老有所終、壯有所用、幼有所長？

悽唔悽涼其實好難講﹐但唔係高薪厚職就係一定既。

Lecturer好多年前已經有48000一個月
仲要係基本起薪點

Contractor(Adjunct)基本上除左改卷上堂就冇任何責任
圍起都有25-35蚊一個鐘
算非常舒服

不過當然做呢D位前途都幾灰
基本上就咁就一世

已經同香港教書既朋友傾過，呢家小班教學工作量其實係大左，因為實行cooperative learning,所以每一堂都要寫lesson plan。以前係唔洗，，，
