IIRC, the 4 cops were not found to be responsible. Can't remember exactly if it was just "not to be responsible" or "not criminally responsible", but I seem to think that they are pretty much off the hook from a legal stand point.
The Dziekanski tragedy is certainly one of the few times where I am ashamed of to be Canadian...
