The incident makes me wonder what exactly was going through those stupid minds of the bystanders. They're watching somebody else get raped, and all they do is video record it and post it on Facebook? Did intervention or calling the authorities even cross their minds?

I want to publicly state that some of the Facebook comments about the sex assault victim being a willing participant are totally false. The medical and physical evidence we have point to the young girl being the victim of a sex assault.

I have no reason to question the police about the truth of this statement.

I agree with the popularity thing, and had the incident been consensual sex, then yes, I would completely agree with you that reporting such things (consensual sex, even if it were a gangbang), would have been against the unspoken teenage popularity code. But this is a matter of basic rights and wrongs. The girl was getting raped by multiple guys. It should have been blatantly obvious that she was being forced to do this against her will. By any and every rule in the book -- even if it were the teenage popularity book -- this is something totally unacceptable.

This incident is much more disgusting than all those weird news coming from Asia combined together. This also provides evidence of the decaying culture and corrupted moral standards in North America, the continent that claims to be the most democratic, advanced and environmentally friendly.
