FY .. good say this time ...
~ in 80's ... HK was flying ... Japan .. then US ... not India/China ..
But just a bit abnormal ... nothing's wrong to hv more and more rich people .. but need education to back up .. ( say HK, lots of people were sent oversea back to 80's/90's )

Are you kidding? Lots of mainland Chinese are studying overseas now.
China is the largest source of foreign students in the US and major source in many other countries.
But China's 經濟起飛 is only at early stages. Today's China is like Hong Kong in the 70s/80s, the economy just starting to surge upward. The difference is that China's population is two hundred times larger than HK's and ten times larger than Japan's.
Another difference, around the world, is that consumerism and materialism today is a lot more popular today than in the 70s/80s.
This international consumerism, coincides with the rapid rise of Chinese consumers. There are just a lot more stuff for rich people to buy, like real estate, cars and handbags etc. |
