VANCOUVER -- Luxe Vancouver restaurants Lumiere and db Bistro Moderne will close in two weeks, Lumiere general manager Chris Gonzalez confirmed Sunday afternoon.
Staff at both West Broadway establishments, owned by superstar chef Daniel Boulud, received their notice this weekend.
Was gonna post this in the "Eating in Van" sub-forum, but for some reason, it keeps asking me to choose a topic, but for the life of me, I can't find where the selection drop down box is.
<$30 are only the menu items. As is always the case, alcohol is the big money earner here for the restaurants, and db Bistro Modern doesn't just serve beer. I'd guess that the state of the economy plus the stiffer blood alcohol limit really sent a lot of people away from including alcoholic drinks as part of their meals.
