any house shown on 更上一層樓 cost at least 30m  with 5m plus in renovation.

LOL... did u know to be as rich as... let say Jim pattison, you gotta work 4-5 times harder and earn 1/4 the money in canada then you would in doing the same businesses else where.  

making $14 an hour is not call making money.  its call making a living only.

the difference between HK and Here is that depending how you do, there is a much bigger chance of earning much more money.  Here is just earning enough to cover 2 meals, don't even think about being rich.

BMW, Lexus, Benz... depend on WHAT they drive la...  you know a 323i, IS250, C230, those cars doesnt cost more then a fully loaded camry.  

you remind me of what happened in hk... this kid finally got a E90 323i and told me and my frds "I can finally join your group since I drive a BMW now!"  then my frd replies, "Dude, we all have M3, don't make us look bad with ur base model 323i."

thats BS, thats what ppl say when they can't afford a more $$$ car

if they dont want to spend too much money for something that means they are still concern with money and can't afford it.  Yes, they have enough money to buy it
but maybe they have to spend 80% of their spending money to buy it.   but on the other hand, they can buy a decent camry for 20% of the money and spend it on other stuff.  being rich and being able to afford luxury goods is 2 things.

you have to know that there isn't really a place to spend money in canada.

we were just talking about it the other day, even if we had 100k to spend on entertainment at 10PM on a cold winter Tuesday night, there was absolutely nothing we can think of doing with the money other then going to casino.

that the same thing as leaving Vancouver.  thats why all the rich ppl left already.  why the poor ppl stay?  well there is no where to spend money here, isnt that a good thing for ppl with not much money?
they will just get depressed in hk when everything cost money and they don't have any to spend.  HK is some of those places that there is never enough money to spend.  

plus, even if u had money for a private jet here, there is never one available right away unless u book a few weeks ahead of time.

our accountant in hk spend so little money.... she spends like 3k HKD a month from what she tells us... when she is doing our bills, she always ask why my sister can spend so much... like shoes and bags that cost more then her monthly salary or how come my electric and water bill is at least 2-3 times as much as hers when i live alone and hardly ever at home LOL
