嗰日同小熊,南姐同忌廉開PARTY。。。
諗住買個PRE MADE PIZZA底,然後自己放料上去自己係屋企焗啦。。。
點知,我去RCSS同SOF都冇呢D野賣喇喎~!

Whole Foods has some decent Ready made pizza dough for sale,
their new store on Broadway at  Cambie is quite convenience, I don't have to go to Park Royal Village.
or you can buy some frozen artisan Italian bread dough, it is quite similar in nature.
Save-On Food always have ready to bake pizza as well, made fresh.

Both superstore and SOF have frozen Italian bread dough.
If you have  a good food processor, it takes 2-8 minutes to make
fresh pizza dough from scratch plus fermentation time. So about
1.5 hour from beginning to table, less time than what you spent
on travelling.
Maybe you can make up some Individual size pizza shells and tug them
in your freezer, just top and bake.
Other option would be the Boboli type pre-baked shell, they are quite
acceptable.
I think the Ravioli Store on Commercial Drive carries the pizza dough as well,
then you have to make a trip to Vancouver.

There is nothing I can do if they sold out everything.
Making pizza dough is easy, but the foccacia bread taste way better.
I can do the foccacia bread for 20 people with a mixing bowl and a sturdy  wooden spoon..
the procedure is quite simple:
For each cup of warm water, you use 3 cups bread  flour,
2 teaspoonfuls of yeast, little sea salt, good olive oil, fresh herbs etc.
Mix in 2 cups of flour, place  the bread dough at some warm area for 40 minutes,
work in remaining flour, press onto greased  pizza pan, allow to rise for 15 minutes.
Then drizzle with some good olive oil, more fresh herb and bake in 450F oven, 14-18 minutes.
For pizza, press the dough thinner, top with fresh Boconcini Buffalata, tomato and basil
the authentic Marguerita Pizza resembling the Italian flag, Red, white & Green.
(or topping of your choice)
My son would eat a lot of the foccacia bread, with or without  topping.

因為我臨時臨急嗰晚ONLINE SEARCH D RECIPE。。。嘩~ 要等成粒鐘先RISE。。。
咁我都有試過。。。結果,真係RISE唔切~~~
定係我冇FOOD PROCESSOR,所以唔WORK,我真係唔知 ...

On line recipes may not work for you, first, you have to understand that yeast is living organism,
they need to be treated nicely.
Too hot (over 37C) they die, too low temperature(below 10C) they become dormant.
Salt and oil inhabit the yeast grow, and they need to be feeded with a little sugar(or starch will turn into sugar).
check the yeast to assure that it is not expire.
a simple way to test how active the yeast is, sprinkle yeast over some warm water, with a pinch of sugar.
the mixture should foam up 4 times the original volume in 10 minutes. Then it is safe to proceed.

Please note this is a no-knead foccacia recipe, the dough is relatively soft and spongy.
and after the first fermentation, the dough is pressed into the pan.
You do not need rolling pin, scraper and other utensil.
Just dip your finger tips in olive oil and make dimples on the dough, it is fun.
It can be made in a food processor or high power blender i.e Vitamix, Blendtec or Thermomix
in a snap.

Unbaked dough should be kept refrigerated, or the will grow wild.
Another tip, brush a little olive oil on bread when it comes out from olive,
it would enhance flavour and prevent the crust from getting brittle.
Unfinished  bread keeps well in brown paper bag(not plastic).
Foccacia bread makes good hearty sandwich, grilled sandwich,  stale bread can be used
for Bruschetta,  crustade  and bread crumbs for pan-frying, savory bread pudding, Strata  etc.
