I've seen woman and old man security guard so I dont think muscle is an issue. I think it's like the movie title "Observe and report" mostly. Send them an email, I'm sure they'll fill you in.

If you don't get any call back or interview then you should seriously think about getting some more education/training, not necessaryly university but something short and easy like a janitorial, food safe, resume/cover letter, Word/Excel, BST for security or even driver's license would be a big help in some cases. Better than sitting at home and complaining.
