I live in Vancouver East.

Driving to Richmond and to New West is equally far to me.
Back then when China town had the only night market, I am sure there was people from Richmond who drove all the way to China town to enjoy the night market.

It might be worth the trade off since it makes it easier for those in Coquitlam, New West, Burnaby, Surrey and Delta to go to the night market.
