If you watch the viedo of STV then you will noticed that your vote will somehow go to the one that you didn't like or rank last. Since the unused votes are spread among them, the one you dislike will probably wins. That do not represent you either.
The other thing is small communities will lost their representatives.

Let say you are a high school student, now, you have a representaive of each class in the student union. Union say, now lets have a grade representative instead of class representative. So in each grade, there will be five representatives. In your grade, you have your class rep. After the change, the grade rep all came from other classes, your's have no one elected. How will you feel?

Those who promote STV are just want to satisfy their ego.
Hey, we are chosen to conduct the study and come up to this suggestion.
No way it will be defeated twice.
Lets get real, you'll be regret to anticipate the change. Just like the change in the City council of Vancouver.
