The other possible cause for long drying time is clogged up exhaust pipe (the tube that takes moisture from your dryer to the outside). Use a bright flash light and take a good look inside the tube - you may find a lot of fabrics and fibres from your clothings that's stopping the moisture from going out. If your exhaust tube is long, you may need to go outside and take a look from the other end. It should be cleaned at least once a year to keep your dryer working effectively.
