Brisbane is located at a floodplain with the main stream (~100mm wide) meandering throughout the whole city. With last month Dec/10 rainfall at around 500mm (mean annual rainfall 1,200mm), no local system can be prepared and will be designed for this type of national disaster other than early warning.
For post hazard control, I hope that no illnesses will be spreaded after the flooding. |
