數千名紅衫軍當天聚集國會大樓的鐵閘外，進一步向阿比希政府施壓，要求他宣佈解散國會，提前大選。

後來，紅衫軍開著一輛卡車把國會大樓的鐵閘撞倒，約1000名紅衫軍隨即闖入國會圍牆內的院區。他們一路展示，從鎮暴警察身上搶來的催淚彈、步鎗及手鎗等武器。
