Just imagine Vancouver without FTV.. no more chinese news, no more TVB dramas.. Is that what you guys want ?? .. I think before you guys complaining this and that.. Just answer my questions earlier. What do you guys want or expect from FTV ... in a chinese market like Vancouver.

How come u are so negative and stubborn about this whole FTV issue. hahaha lol.. What do you want and expect from a chinese TV station in a North America City. Who is stupid enough to setup a 新台 in Vancouver ?? It's just not profitable. Fairchild is just one of the political move by 馮永發. FTV is just here to for him to tell the world he cares about the chinese culture.

Really, please don't be so stubborn and keep bashing. Have really ask yourself what do you want from FTV. If you have control of FTV what would you do to make it better.

Thank you for the post. This is a more educated and worth reading post than the other ones which only bashing about Fairchild without any plausible reasoning. This is an open topic for everyone and it's very interesting to see other people's view on this topic. I agree from the news stand point their are totally lacking media responsibility. I personally don't really spend time watching their stuff. haha.. so I wouldn't know how badly their news cover is. I remember back in the first year of communications they taught about the gate keeper. That's the position who decided weather a news should be reported or not. Of course from the stand point of FTV it's for their own interest to not report any negative news about their corporation. It's understandable but it's not acceptable of course. That would be one of the major area they should be improved on. Totally agree.

I do however want to know where did you get your source for saying they are making tones of money off their TV stations. Can you give us a little ball part figure of how much profit they making annually ??

Also for the TVB drama contract and other broadcasting licenses concern, I think that's just part of the game. If it's in fact a Chinese TV Station is so profitable in Canada, I don't understand why all those legal licensing would become a concern. Again, I haven't done my research here. It's been 6 years after I graduated from SFU. I dont' really wanna start researching anymoore. haha it's good to discuss about it just for fun however. hahha

I wasn't here to piss off other people. I have mentioned so many times. I just want to discuss about the issue and I do find it fun to see other people's view on the topic.

Sorry if I have pissed you off. I just thought it's pretty meaningless to say something which has no point at all.

I have seen people posting things like this. "You are stupid. why ? I don't know, just coz I think you are stupid."
