Hello everyone,

Thank you all for the reply and discussion.

I am the person that actually used the service from Lisange and I am going to post my own experience and a review, and could possibly clear some confusion.  I would like to stress that everything I write is my own experience.  I admit that we were politely asked if we could provide a review since Lisange thinks that they did a good job with our pictures.

On or about April/May 2009, we contracted Lisange as our pre-wedding photographer. We were greeted by their manager politely upon our arrival.  We were presented with different packages that Lisange offered and we decided to go with one of the ~$5k packages.  I have to admit that the manager was very helpful and polite, and we were very satisfied with our service they offered.

On the day of the pre-wedding photo shoot, they provided us with their main photographer along with the assistant, as well as the manager for providing make-up.  The assistant was very kind and attentive to detail.  We were offered to choose any dresses we wanted and were provided numerous make-up styles.  Unfortunately it rained in the middle of our photo-shoot.  Lisange was kind enough to provide us a reschedule the next weekend.  They didn’t charge us extra for the new make-up for the following weekend.  However, I was under the impression that we can choose any location we want for the photo shoot, but later realized that they need special equipment for night shoot so we pay a little extra to have our night shoot done.  Overall experience from the photo-shoot:  The assistant was great and I think the photographer took a lot of great pictures with 5+ locations.  It was really cold that night and the assistant always offered a jacket after we finish a pose and always had an umbrella held up for us.

After a month or so from the photo shoot, we were asked to schedule in to choose our photographs.  My fiancée thinks that the photos were ok but she would like more artistic and candid shoots.  Lisange mostly provided us with “taiwanese” style poses so that’s why we decided to switch our wedding day photographer to a more westernized photographer.

On or about Sept 3, we were called in to pick up the wedding album.  The photos we think were great.  We didn’t know that after all pictures put together in a huge album would look so much different from the monitor.  We really like the end-result of the photo album.  I understand that whether you like the pictures or not is very subjective, but we do think that our album looks great. However, there is one draw-back, our wedding day is on Sept 12 and we believe that the album could have arrived earlier and not one week before our wedding day.  They compensated us with all the soft copy of the photos taken without charge.  They also offered to provide a wedding slideshow with all the pre-wedding pictures (have not received yet).

Overall experience: we like the product and the pictures they have provided.  The only thing we think that it could have done better is that if they can deliver the package earlier and offered more suggestion to artistic/candid post.  If I can do everything over again I would still choose Lisange and communicate more to the photographer as to things/locations we liked.  We choose a different wedding day photographer so that we get more variety in style with our pictures.  I would recommend Lisange for any future couples for pre-wedding photoshoot but just make sure you talk to the photographer about things you like and set a firm deadline for your photo album arrival date.
