I'll just sit back and watch the postings back-n-forth (in awe).

I've seen similar things happened in my neighbourhood: those migrants would get a ladder to my next door neighbour's cherry tree to pick them in bucket full w/o even asking for the property owner's consent.

I consider that stealing also......what a disgrace.

(been living in our neighbourhood for many decades, and that cherry tree has never been "mistreated" like that all these decades until the arrivals of these migrants in the townhouse complex recently....)

to make matters worse:

(*as you recall my parent's house backyard has a bartlett pear tree*)

back a year or 2 ago: we caught these migrants climbed over our fence (our fences are over 6ft tall BTW) to steal bartlett pears, usually early in the morning or late at nite.

We decided to leave the pear tree alone this year (no fertilisation) and trimmed the loose branches back to our fence area ....

Yup...locusts!
