i tried that place once like a month ago? i'm also an old time fan of the original Cafe D'Lite on 4th. First of all the hainanese chicken rice cannot be compare to the original taste la, chicken is not in good shape, with all the extra think layer of fat still sticking under the skin and it is tasteless, no i should correct that, i could taste the unfreshness of 雪藏雞. Rice is ok for me as i am not that picky about the softness of rice but the taste is not the same as the original lor. I won't go back again since it is overpriced and taste = 0 . And ya, they gave me so little spicy red garlic sauce and no ginger paste (in the vancouver store they do give you both sauce)? and the chicken is also missing some hainanese chicken soy sauce which is what i liked about the original taste, and i guess that's why they are tasteless.
