FYI, I don't work in Canada, I work in Japan, besides, we are just talking about the average salary of LYK, not Canadian, so maybe you should think again when you start calling people liars. I am a PR and lingual specialist who do translations and magazine editorial work in Tokyo. If you are unable to make that much Toppy, well, too bad, that just means you are not good enough to even argue with us, since we are obviously smarter than you because we are able to make more and get better employers. The numbers reflect a very very obvious distinction between you and us.

Great job pushing your responsibilities aside with that one swift line.
If you can't make as much money, then that's really too bad, you have my sympathy. Maybe taking a manner course would help your future career, as you really don't seem to have the ability to properly communicate with people without offending them first.

fibbi, no offense, read the post again, the post starter never said anything about the survey being limited to only Canadian residences, it's just a general survey about LYK's.

P.S. I didn't lie about my salary, I just didn't include my extra money from the OT I do for the company... which bumps my salary another rank up in that chart.

lol... I don't know man, what do you mean "blame me"? What am I "blaming you"? Unless I have done wrong deeds and want to blame you for what I did wrong, then I would be "blaming you". Go re-think about your sentence first... do you mean "accuse you"?

By the way, didn't you said in many posts that you are "stuck in Canada"? so, now that you claim that people are lying for making so much money, you must presumptiously be not making as much money in order to make this argument sound. And that you claim that people are living way below the normal standard in Canada, so you must also have to be one of those who had and most likely is, experiencing the aforementioned situations to make your claim true.

So now that you claim that these are "statements", then they must be factual and true, and reflects your current situation to render your arguments sound.

Now, please don't say that I am claiming all these as predictions or unvalid simply because I don't have the right proofs. Everyone here had been following your arguments closely, and that we are all quite observant here.

With all these said, I am not going to revert to swearing or personally attacking you simply because I am not down to that level yet. But accusing all or most LYK are liars simply doesn't make sense.

Please be once again reminded that, this survey is not based on how much LYK make in Canada. This survey is simply based on numbers that LYK's make around the world. If you really want to know how much people make in Canada, maybe you should ask around and see if your friends are really doing so bad here in Canada. You might be surprised by how satisfying they are with their lives regardless of how much they make.

I love Vancouver, as much as I don't like the lack of career excitement back home, I still consider it one of the best places to live on this planet. With that said, I really am working in Japan to maximize what my skill set can bring me. If you want to make as much money as most LYK here claim to be, then maybe you should ask for their consultation, they might be able to give you a hand if you ask nicely. Same as for any other LYK out there who wants me to give them a helping hand.

I work in Japan, and when anyone asks me whether I am from China, I tell them that I am proudly Chinese Canadian. I love Canada, I haven't forgotten my Chinese roots, and I am working in Japan to spread the wonderful ideals of Canada in their country. I am aiming to work in the Canadian Embassy of Japan. That's my final goal, to contribute to this country that had made me what I am right now.

BTW Toppy, You can't call me a liar because I didn't lie about my salary, and that I really do make this much. (As you said, those who had voted that they make so much are all liars.) Now here is another fact: The starting annual salary at the Canadian Embassy of Japan is around 65000 Canadian with the current exchange rate, since they pay in yen, not CAD. With a year or so, the rates jump up by LES ranks, and that is a 10000 bucks difference after the one year observation period. I don't work in the embassy, but I am already making this much... imagine if I actually got in. So... yeah... we really do make this much, that is... if you are capable enough to join the club, Toppy. (Unfortunately, I highly doubt the case, since your English proficiency won't win you respect from the caucasian crowd at all.) So, choose your foe, your real enemy that made your life so miserable is actually yourself, since your incapabilities made your life so harsh in Canada.

For your question, it's flawed, Why do I HAVE to work in Canada if I love it? It does not make sense. My special skill set can maximize my earnings in Japan, that's why I work in Japan, there is no specific reason. I will throw you another bone, I first started off working as a CANADIAN CULTURAL REPRESENTATIVE in Japan, contributing back to Canada. I bet you don't understand what contributing and sacrificing means, because you are pretty selfish from what you do.

I am only working in a Japanese company because the embassy wants people to work in private firms before going in, simple and straight-forward. I am not gonna explain what I do and why I to you anymore. because you just don't seem to be able to admit defeat.

as for giginum, thanks, work is rewarding here, but I would sometimes really want to go back to Canada and enjoy that fresh air and nature.

Guys, forget about arguing with someone, logic is meaningless to him. I have given him a load of Phil 101 and he absolutely disregarded it simply because he didn't have anything to fight back with. That already shows that he is accepting his defeat. This is exactly the situation we call 趕狗入窮巷. Let's pay some pity and ignore him la. As long as we all know that we are better off than he is, whatever he say is not going to affect our wealth and happy life in Canada, or for that matter, anywhere around the world. He can keep barking irrelevant logic, and it inflicts no damage on us~ why bother wasting our time right?
