I don't like the push to buy stuff fr. guides, However, i love tours for the reason they introduce the history, culture, etc much makes things more interesting and the appreciation becomes greater!
When I went to Japan for the first time, we booked tour and tickets to Japan on the way to HK fr. Vancouver. The tour was in Cantonese. We got basic glimps of the country and didn't have to worry about getting lost, etc.
there are a variety of tours though. I always go for the most deleux pkg (better food and less rushed type). Also good for elderly to join tours, if they are tired, they can stay and rest in the bus if don't feel like walking/shopping.
We will be going to Japan again in January, this time on our own. It was good to get a basic idea through the 1st tour.
((( again, don't get sucked in to buy whatever the guides tell you to!! ))) |
