omo~ that's awesome~
are you planning to have classes or sth like that?
i would love to learn the basic skills~
did u take classes to learn these???

oh man~ those chinese letters, did u write ...

Thank you.
I started learning in Hk about 3 yrs ago. I continue to learn new things whenever I go to HK for vacation. As I get better, I try to create and design my own works. I still go to HK everyyear to take private lessons. I also buy lots of Japanese books to study.

As for classes, I might do that in the future. Will have to do lots of planning first. Some things to really consider is supplies (not available in Canada), cost vs expense. How much to charge so it's afforable but I won't lose money, a place to teach, lesson plan, blah blah blah...

The letters....I wrote them ga. Yes, very small.

oh wow .. You must spent a lots of time!

I have seen them for sell .. (similar) but .. so expensive ..

no, I don't have lots of time. In fact, I have little time! With wedding coming up, house shopping, etc, I almost have no time to sleep! I just work on my hobby whenever I could afford a whole day. Usually, once you start, you can't stop because the materials will dry out and can be tossed out. So got to be quick and plan way ahead. Through my learning, lord knows how much stuff I've wasted!

Yes, very expensive indeed! Especially in Canada. The materials and tools weigh heavy, shipping to Canada cost so much!
The process of making them is long. eg: using clay and tools to form shape, wait a few days to dry. Apply paint, wait few more days to dry, then apply gloss, wait more days to dry.
On top of all that, you are paying for brain power and creativity and time of the creator too.

The only country that you can buy them real cheap is Thailand.

I think you are very talented.  Hope we can see more of your work.

Thank you Myversa!
As for clay, my next project will be a rotating sushi bar. I also have a couple others of non-clay miniature doll house to be worked on in the near future.

I also like to crochet. Starting another post.

BTW, I left you an email and sms about your order. Pls look.

Amazing... they are sooooo pretty and cute!!

Will you consider running a business? I'll be your customer!

Thank you!

Business? probably not because the running cost is very high. (Shipping supplies from overseas + average time spent on 1 cake is up to 4 days)
People won't understand the cost involved and feels being ripped off. So I will custom make if anyone requests and feel it's worth the cost.

I finally gave my wife the cake  zuesel made.  She likes it very much.  I think the price is fair since she put a lot of detailed work into it.  She showed it to her friends and her friends like it to ...

Thanks myversa! I am over joyed by your wife and her friends comments! Most importantly, I think you've made her special day an extra special one!

are you going to offer classes because if it's possible, I will sign up for my mom too. She is very good with art and craft, so I think she would love to learn

I am in the process of buying a house now. After that, I will consider opening a class but it won't been too soon in the future. I will first have to find a supplier from overseas who can send quality supplies cheaper in order to keep the running cost low. Will also have to check with Canadian customs for their &%$W%$@* taxes!

So if anyone has any idea how to deal with the customs, pls give me some pointers!

first, congrats to getting married zuesel!

those crafts you made are very cute and pretty and realistic!!!
they dun look like its handmade lor! u are very talented ar!
i want to learn too!! im jus ...

Thanks Miky!
I used a variety of clay. Some times alone, some times in combination with other clays. All of them are made in Japan so far that I've used. I don't work with North American clay such as FIMO.

This year, I will be busy with marriage, house shopping, moving, getting settled etc. I may consider starting classes. If that's the case, I will post or notify you individually. PM me with your name then I could keep you in my list.

WOW...you're talented! They look so real...my brother was looking at the abalone and dry mushrooms and asked if they're real. I want to learn too. Maybe I'll find classes when I go study in Japan in O ...

Marimo, you are so lucky! Please bring back your works if you learn! You can buy books from there! I order here and I have to pay 2x + shipping vs if I buy from Japan. Darn! I wish I thought of buying some while I was there 2 yrs ago.

Catpiano. Where have you seen these for sale? Calgary or Edmonton? I have not seen the entire sets but just the smaller items. The store in Aberdeen food court in richomod Vancouver sell some food items but they are mostly "啤 "出來的
