I am glad you are not a fan. People like you are known as bandwagonners and are universally despised by sports fans.

Your overly critical stance on luongo is getting annoying.

Lucky? You do realize you require the athleticism and reflex to perform a move like that in the first place right.  Do you think every other nhl goalie can respond that quickly while upside down and position the glove hand?  That is certainty not a routine save so give freaking credits when it's due.

Um ..   Don't think Luo was playing bad ....

However, impressive for Canucks ..  great 3rd period ...

Anyone who thinks he was playing "bad" the last two games is either a troll or doesn't know anything about hockey.

My suggestion to these people is to watch more games on different teams to learn about the game and don't blame every goal let in on their goalie. ( Noobs usually do since goalie is most easy to blame)

People need to also realize that goalies cannot stand on their head every day and other elite guys like miller, rask, and Ilya had left in a # of "soft" gals in the first round of playoffs.

The announcers were euphoric after seeing that save and the CBC guy called it a save of the series? Lastly I am arguing that save requires ability that not all goalies have.  You don't see too many other goalies with high light reel saves right?

Oh and Luongo was also the first star per yahoo.

FYI I have pretty much read every news article on game 6 available online and everyone unanimously agree that was the save of the series.

Forlov's stick caught his stick, which prevented him doing the poke check. You should watch the replay.

And wow I agree this is a goal that he had a chance on, but do you expect him to stop all possible chances?

It's hard for me to believe anyone can still criticize his performance last night.. Just simply ludicrous..

Do me a favor and watch some other games will you? Or do you just have an expectation that a goalie should stop every savable goal?

If so can you name a goalie who is doing that so far in the playoffs? Cus I cant think of one.

Consistently, so are you implying that he should stop every shot that he has a chance on? Well, I don't know anybody who do that. Not even partrick roy in his prime (or else his stats would be GAA: 1, save % 98 or something)

And making huge save does change the game. It's called momentum changer... Finally, why do you place the blame on him and not on sedin who lost his check?

He has been getting better through out the series and the breakaway save in game 4 changed the tide of series.
He has went from ok to solid to superb over the course of the series, so what exactly are you complaining about?

Catpiano:
"to be fair, it needs luck to be good, and you got luck when you are good .."

Yes I cant say it better myself

When you are stopping a shot that you are not suppose to save, you have to be both good and lucky.  just look at all the saves of the year thought out nhl history. it is usually goalie reacting insanely fast and then positioning themselves properly to make a improbable save

It will come down to goldtending.

Canucks was not playing at 100% either. Our 35 goal scorer only had 1 empty net gold.   Surprised that you would like to see hawks in the finals though, they since they eliminated calgary last year.
