Can't blame corporations for '賺到盡'. If the real estate sales practices are deemed unfair, and perhaps anti-competitive, maybe something should be done in terms of policies?

"商界的政治特權、立法會功能組別、不公平售樓手法" should be addressed by policies and law. Telling businesses to not make profit and care for the society instead counters the purpose of their existence, doesn't it?

ok, say it is "just like" 300 dollars
so you should get laughed at when you donate 300 dollars?

I think most ppl's POV is:

A. Mr Lee's donation of 300M is relatively a drop in the bucket for him. The primary reason why is that the donation won't affect his lifestyle one bit, and thus is lesser of a sacrifies compared to an ordinary dude donating $300 (which would impact one's discretionary spending, if not even core spending, more so than 300M in affecting Mr Lee's spending/lifestyle)

B. It is not so much a sacrifice for Mr Lee when the donation is more for PR purpose. It's more like buying an image, not a 'donation' Comparitively, I think an ordinary dude is making a greater sacrifice than Mr. Lee if he/she donates $300.

If every ordinary dude donates $300 in HK, it'll probably benefit society more than Mr. Lee donating $300M.

Having said that, since not every ordinary dude will donate $300 in HK, what Mr. Lee does is still better than nothing for the society.

When we are comparing $300 with $300M and considering that an ordinary dude donating $300 is a greater sacrifice... it only shows nth other than that the rich/poor disparity in HK is plainly ridiculous...

to me, a dollar is a dollar

that's why I always laugh when I see someone trying to save 50% on a $1 ...

to the end receiver, a dollar is a dollar.
when judging the giver, it's a diff thing.

so it's better to not save the 50% on the $10 item and overpay 10% on the $1k too? If you like to call people stupid, just say so. Steering wide doesn't hide the mockeries.
