shouldn't have jailed him in the first place. I can see why they want to uphold their weird laws and get him convicted, but should've got minimal penalty. Order him for social services or something. Instead of getting to this point and getting it so ugly.
Local gov't probably often very disconnected from public opinion and even more inept than at the central gov't level. Becomes a total mess. |
