Chinese brands that I own? Benro Tripods la. It's not Gitzo, but CF at Manfrotto quality for the same price as Manfrotto, can't be beat for the price!

There are A LOT of Chinese brands out there now, exporting all over the world, some surprisingly with good reputations. Don't be stereotypical that Chinese products is only associated with crap like 菊花牌嘅底衫, 中華牌鉛筆, etc etc. Obviously there are crappy Chinese products, and tons of them. But so is there crappy US product, crappy French products, etc etc...

Yes, Chinese products that you associate with are cheap stuff. French product you associate with are 4 figure CAD products. The stereotype is apparent whether you admit it or not.

and 菊花牌嘅底衫 is quite crappy, doesn't survive that many trips through the washing machine anyways. 中華牌鉛筆 is really bad with the pencil sharpeners... They are really the more crappy brands in terms of Chinese branded products. I'd say Benro is a much higher quality Chinese product, esp for the price.

Ha, almost forgot. The laptop I am typing on is by a Chinese brand! In fact there are at least a dozen of laptops within a 10 meter radius of me that is of a Chinese brand. That is 國貨 that one can be proud of!

My entire company uses Lenovo laptop. About 1000 headcount global. Not a lot. I know.

As far as I know, Nokia uses exclusively Lenovo laptop and PC products for their development centers, world-wide.

Lenovo is probably still leading brand for laptops in business usage. There's more to computers than just trendy laptops for personal computing.

Can't say Huawei or ZTE are prominent brands for end products globally. But they definately are major customers at our company. But then so is Cisco, HP and many other American/European/Japanese companies.

The Chinese companies will definitely compete fiercely against all these foreigners.
