I've been in situations where writing weekly work report is required since my boss travels a lot. The report contains projects that I'm working on, projects for the future and ones that have been completed. It gives an estimated date of completion and brief progress update. I feel this isn't micro-managment but a way to keep track of priority and it's a good way to manage your time.
However, your case seems a bit extreme. I'm not sure what your pay is (hourly? salary?) but since I'm on salary, it doesn't make sense to write down how many hours it took me to complete a task. The only time I'm required to provide details on the number of hours spent on a project is when I charge my clients for freelance work. |
