This really has nothing to do with Hong Kong. T&T is owned by Loblaw group, a Canadian company. But most workers there came from China and they show little respect for other customers who are not one of them. It does not matter if your ethnicity is Chinese, so long as you are not from Mainland China, they discriminate against you by letting their Mainland Chinese 老乡, 同乡 to jump the queues. It happened to me so many times, that I now shop only at Korean supermarkets, Safe-on, Langley Market and Costco.
If the Loblaw Group want to retain customers, they should seriously to educate their dai-luk workers not to screw non-Mandarin speaking customers. |
