other girls from 段正純 and his different lovers.

They are not supposed to get married,  all the girls are  his cousins, he does not has any siblings

I feel sad for 木婉清 for the 2nd edition tho... but the 2nd edition's ending seems reasonable geh...

and the author deliberately changed 王語嫣 to fit the ending
王語嫣投井時，慕容復為擺脫表妹的柔情糾纏，一隻手伸了出去，卻不去拉王語嫣。

    二版說王語嫣見此神情，猜到了他的心情，心想你就算棄我如遺，但我們是表兄妹至親，眼見我踏入死地，竟絲毫不加阻攔，連那窮凶極惡的雲中鶴尚自不如，此人竟然涼薄如此，當下更無別念，叫道：「段公子，我和你死在一起！」縱身一躍，向井中倒衝了下去。

    新三版自是刪去了王語嫣叫道：「段公子，我和你死在一起！」將這段刪為：王語嫣見此神情，猜到了他的心情，心想你就算棄我如遺，但我們是表兄妹至親，眼見我踏入死地，你竟不加阻攔，連那窮凶極惡的雲中鶴尚自不如，我除死之外，更無別路，當下縱身一躍，向井中墮了下去。

    因為金庸將要安排段譽拋棄王語嫣，新三版自也先要將二版王語嫣對段譽真情真意流露的部份悉數刪除。

I still prefer the 2nd edition that 段譽 and 王語嫣 ended up together. I do think it's reasonable for girl to change like that... (i mean 王語嫣 turn away her passion from her cousin to 段譽).
And 段譽 remains faithful and end up together is just the perfect 童話式 ending in girl's mind la..haha
I guess the 3rd edition is more for "guys perspective"...when they 得到手, then passion started to die down...haha
