what don't you ask her out as a date instead of asking her if she is free on the weekend? if some guy asks me, i would not want to tell him that i am doing nothing on my weekend lor.  so in this case, nothing wrong that she tells you she is going clubbing and she has to do housework.

be a man and ask her out, tell her that it is a date/you want to get to know her and see how she respond. then you can decide if you should ditch or continue this chasing game. good luck.
