When they catch hawkers ..  it is kind of silly .. they "yell" first ..  so .. guess what? all the young one can run away first .. the old one? just give up ..  they are not going to run away ..

I have known friends as Police/custom/Hawker control in HK ..

In general, they don't care, they just care about their income .. they buy  AAA product, buy AAA DVD/game, they shop from hawkers too ..

However, just once a while, they need to do "homework" to their boss ...

Well .. same as RCMP/Police catching speeding/U-turn/no complete stop here ..

Who does UNDER 60km/hr all the time? none .. (well, some C 9 .. ok ... )

So ..  the can catch EVERYONE on the road ..  but they only pick SOME ..  so .. depends on your luck...

NORTH POINT 雞蛋仔 is so famous, and so many branches now ..  make no less then $1M/month ... thier 雞蛋仔 is good .. but won't say super great ..  

May be this 雞蛋仔 kung kung ...  30 yr ago was buddy with north point 雞蛋仔 .. but one makes million and million now ...

I like them .. but somehow, last few years, most my friends want to go for some "new trend" dessert places ..  

But as a Canada Chan, I love those old school (and bargain style la.. )

The point is .. if we 捐 to 雞蛋仔伯伯 (if $100 x 4000, big $$ )  then we also should donate to other .. joe smith or mary wong .. whoever ..

Just like those American show ..  whoever is so damn poor and pity .. then all the sudden .. got $ million of cash from whatever donation ..    but then ..  may be the middle person keep most the cash ..

Police here, always catch you at SAFETY driving .. but slightly about the speed limit!!

They don't care much about people with 30 yr old FORD.. ( chance is, you can't afford to pay the ticket ) they also not care about those Ferrari/Lambo/Porsche group doing street/highway racing all the time .. ( the chance is, they will pay their lawyer big $$ to flight the ticket, so no money to them anyway)

Just as you see more RCMP at Timmy/BP then spending time to stop criminal ...

阿伯無牌小販擺賣 30 more yr .. 食環署 has been one eye closed, one eye opened till now ..

So, should say he is lucky gei la...

As apply to driving ..  may be someone has been 開快車 for 30 yr .. (Ok, fast, but safe) until now, RCMP finally catch him speeding ..  then he should think he has been lucky for 30 yr!!!
