05 year lancer over 110k selling 13500?? srsly go to a dealer and check the price first.
i would prefer second hand buyer to get second hand cars from the big dealers. They would go over the car for you before they sell them and pretty much lot of little things you don't see from the appearence would cost you amount of money to fix. I'll never get a high mileage car on the internet / someone i don't even know.

This car is over price for sure. Go check with the Mitsubishi dealer first if you wanna get a new/second hand Lancer.

According to Canadian Black Book, a Lancer of that vintage with that kind of mileage has a CBB price of $5,896 to $7,581. Note that the CBB price list pretty much the trade in price, so private sale prices are supposed to be higher.

While it is true that the OP put a lot of care into the car, and did a lot of custom mods, at the end of the day, the market price of the vehicle will be based on the CBB value. The condition of the car can only take you so far, and custom mods, even if they were tastefully done, do not add value to the vehicle unless the next buyer is also looking for pretty much the same mods. As a matter of fact, mods will generally hurt the price of the car because the general impression is that a mod car is one that has been thrashed and beatened and driven hard.

Just wondering, have you ever check prices of 2nd hand cars from dealers? and have you done any reseach on how dealers deal with second hand cars? oh, and also do you know what sorta things they do (the so call "go over") with the 2nd hand car???  Why are you so sure that you won't get scam over by the dealers?  I think you are pretty naive to think dealers would sell you the car that's in shape and ask for the lease amount of $$$$.

Of course you'll think the big dealers will do all sorta things to get the car in shape, yeah, in shape at the time when you purchase the car.......Go to the dealer and I am sure you'll get the "BEST" deal you "think" you can get!!!!

Oh and by the way, I would think ppl who wanna buy a 2nd hand car would check out the car first before they make a decision.  I am sure you can tell whether the car is worth the money you are paying or not and not judging by just reading/imagining wut the car is like.  Please have some common sense before you comment!!!!!

Which model and what year are you referring to? Even the dealer (FYI, it's the Mitsubishi dealer) is paying a higher price than what you've mentioned on your post.  I am sure the pricing on your comment  is not the same car as what I am posting here.

It's true that the market price of the vehicle is based on the CBB - that's is when you are selling to a DEALER!!!  To be honest, I am sure most people know that after you sell a car - with modifications/upgrades to the dealers, their selling points would be these features that's at basically no cost to them.   On the other hand, with personal trades, many will sell their cars with modifications/upgrades.  That's why I didn't trade mine to the dealier.  (Oh and just to let you know, most of the work I've done on my car are upgrades!!!!!)

And for your reference, a car could easily be mod, thrashed and beatened, then re-mod back to it's original look, and you'd think that the car has never been touched, but you'll never know from the ad itself.

Besides, the same car without any mod can be in a worse condition than a car with mod.  You can easily tell if a car has been care/maintained by it's owner or not.   At the end, it all comes down to the owner/driver.  I can say that I've took really good care of my car, that's why I am confident to sell my car as is.  Anyone who has seen my car can tell.

And again, when you purchase any kinda 2nd hand cars (either from dealers or personal).  I am sure one will actually go and check out the car first before they'd make any judgements/comments on the car.  Come and check out the car yourself and you'll know what I mean.

not saying dealers have the best second hand cars but im pretty sure your car won't be the best second hand car i've seen or close to a good deal. Even tho i've never driven a lancer but i've worked at BMW dealer as a sales person for almost 2 years. Bring your car to "Any" dealer see if you can sell it for more than 10k lmao.

Hope someone will buy your crap for 13.5k gl

No one is arguing with you i'm just making my statement please don't be stupid and act like a 12. There is no way to buy second hand cars from someone you don't even know and even for a slight higher price from the dealer would be a better deal. If your car has any problems you can at least bring it back to the dealer and they will give you the full refund but buying from this guy you'll get nothing once you brought his car.
You can't expect any liability from this guy. So make your call $13500 to buy this " Car " from this random dude or go to a liable dealer for your " Used car "car.

Well ..  that is what he/she is asking ...........  which is ok to be high, can he/she sell it at that price, is another story.

I can ask $10K on a 90 civic ... but can I sell it at the price? NO

Is it over price? Yes.

Well, good luck, sadly, Mitsu resale value is just slightly better then Jag and Range Rover ..

In general speaking, ~ $3k or 15-20% about the CBB value should be reasonable retail price.

(unless specialty/collectable car)

I think David and Lik are just giving some friendly advice ..  just like second hand digital camera, some people are asking MORE then list price for a new one, as they dont know price keeps dropping ...
