But well...... after every use of the GPS feature on the iPhone (or any formal GPS device), people shouldn't just let it expose on the car dash when leaving the vehicle (something like leaving it on the suction cup holder which attached on the windshield or stuff like that) anyway. Don't people ever heard about news of baby or elderly or pet got grilled or killed for leaving them in car under hot sun? iPhone is not an unique and only problem la.

is it just problem for the new 3Gs?  I have used the 2G for 2 yr ..  seem ok ...

well, I am not IT guy .. I just use the phone for calling/getting call .. lol

Err...... my example was "leave on the suction cup holder which attached on the windshield", meant exposes to direct sunlight, not inside the grove box or any compartment. For exposing to direct sunlight in a prolong period of time, even any electronic calculator or mp3 player would be damaged la.

so far so good wor ..  my old iphone .. has used for 2 yrs .. even dropped in water so many time .. still working fine, good battery too .. ( but was dead when it dropped to TOILET )

The new 3Gs, after few weeks usage, so far so good too wor ...  no overheat, no short battery life ..

Beamsboy, You can unlock it yourself it's easy.

cp, do you have push turned on?  If not, you won't feel the short battery life problem!

my 3gs is working perfect, not sure why others have these kind of problems, maybe my hubby and I are the lucky ones?!? Super happy with it!
