I might buy an iPad if it gets USB, Flash and Multi-task. Otherwise I rather buy a Macbook Pro and replaces all my computing need with 1 laptop. Spec-wise it seems the iPhone makes a lot more sense than the iPad hto.

That said. I never even know wut the heck an iPhone was until the Day I walked into the Apple Store in the states to play with it, and I purchased it 2 hours later.... So I can't say for sure until I have played with it.

Quite some people are guessing that it will change once OS4 is available for iPad.  I'll cross my fingers.

以APPLE既慣用手法, 就算比你搭到USB PORT, 都會只有佢自家出品, 貴到無譜既 PERIPHERALS o岩用...

I agree with you.  So, I would only recommend an iPad for anyone who know what they are doing, and what they needs.

I purchase most things with that in mind.

To give you an example, there are those, who would buy a DSLR, and end up having the camera sits & do nothing.

Here is a little history of how I would put my toys/tools.. in use.

I bought a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 w/Quadradrive, I know nothing about 4 wheeling at the time, but soon learn about what it is about few months before I bought the Jeep.  It's designed with off road capability, and I ended up taking my Jeep off-road with 2 local 4x4 clubs, and have done many 4x4 trips over the 4-5 years, and been to many places an average person wouldn't even dare to go with a brand new car.

I am now driving a Subaru Sti.  No, I don't take it to go Rally, but I have done auto-cross, and took track day classes, and took it for track day, so that I can learn how to properly drive, or drive high performance car properly.

I bought my 1st computer when I was grade 9 knowing nothing about computer.  I start out playing games, then gained enough knowledge to work as a computer tech, and own a computer consulting business.  I am now having a career in IT Network Administration.

I bought my film camera 10+ years ago, switch over to DSLR, I am now shooting professional DSLR doing professional wedding photography as one of the best photographer for a wedding studio here in Seattle, and also having my own wedding photography business.

So, my point is this: The value of your purchase doesn't come from what features of your purchase item, but more about rather or not the product is right for you, and if you can take advantage of what it has to offer.  That's where the value comes from

Again, that just my 2 cents.

Same theory la, people can have thousands reasons and excuses for not liking it ga wor. Camera on iPad? That must be a joke lor. Think about the camera is in the size of 8 inch x 10 inch?! Who wanna hold it like that?! Would you use your plasma TV to take photos even if it can? I won't lor.

You think PC or Mac can work great without any other hardware accessories? How about people use external hard drives, usb hubs, speakers, headphone, and much more? Don't tell me a PC or Mac can work perfectly all by itself lor. And this is not an argument about whether PC or Mac is better than iPad or not. As many members mentioned, iPad is not a deluxe toy. It's only a useful tool for those people who need it for their business or studying. Not everyone needs it and not everyone knows how good it is lor.

if u want apple product...apple makes u pay the premium for those PERIPHERAL lor... that's their strategy to make $!

In fact, iPad is NOT a mini computer. Apple didn't intend to make iPad as a mini computer but lack of several features. It's just many people try to compare iPad with computer and laptop and netbook and whatever, which is not fair la. As per my previous example, I compare microwave oven with conventional oven, which something a microwave oven can't do, but apparently microwave oven is not useless ah mah. I think people should do some research before buying an iPad (or many other things), to make sure they like it or not then decide to buy it or not. Rather than they have some spare money on hand and therefore they buy it but find out they didn't like it and comment the device is useless lor. Doesn't mean everyone should love it wor.

I just reserved one today, well, I know I've been 一時衝動..... but guys please tell me should I get one? I think the outlook is cool... and I'm going to use it as a bigger itouch, anyone agreed with me?
