家中小朋友將升大學,想請間各位LYK,有什么好介紹ｏBudget有限,實用,耐用,少問題最為重要ｏ
小女個子細小,所以倾向買13" Laptop.
有無須要買extended warranty?
Dell, HP, Toshiba, 那一個品牌比較好? 最好提供model number.
有否聽聞有一新類型电池快將推出市場?Battery hours will be much longer. 幾時才面世呢?

just got one myself for dental school...very happy about it....you cant beat actually "taking notes" by writing on the screen...i can now go truly paper-less

the only disadvantage that i can think of is that it uses an AMD processor...so it runs a bit hotter....and with slightly shorter battery life compared to intel-based machines

i think student loan will help ur daughter to buy a new laptop.....and laptop is not really neccessary for university (even though I got one and I mainly use it for web browsing in class time)

getting a laptop for ur child for university = encouraging them slacking off and not paying attention in class~ (heh.but who DOES pay attention to the whole lecture ) LOL

i do agree that it is better off not having a laptop. it will be used for mostly in class or in between class browsing(in between class it might be better sleeping or doing some reading or hw)...

the only time you really need a laptop is when you're doing a group project at school or some place.

PS the new thinkpad x200 with 9 cell battery already has 9hours battery life.. but it should start around $1300
