I am living close to #4 and Alderbridge in Richmond and my Shaw Extreme-I is "extremely" slow recently, sometimes down to 1Mbps.
I called Shaw and they said many people moved into my neighbor and they are upgrading something to fix the speed. however, it has been almost a month and nothing has improved.
Then, i am thinking to switch to Telus, but then i heard some good comments about Rogers ADSL....
so...WHICH ONE IS BETTER?!?!?! i want at least 8Mbps of speed!
Recently Telus has a promotion of internet for only $19.99
and a bundle where you get a ground line with call display, UNLIMITED long-d calling to china, hk, tw, with adsl for $53.95. The rep said after you enroll, you can call in to customer service & cancel the unlimited long-d and you save $13.
We have Shaw internet right now...& kinda tempted to switch to Telus for that $20 adsl, or that bundle with ground line. but we're not sure if the quality is good or not.

I'm still debating. But my mom told me that the $19.99 for just ADSL promotion ends this coming Sunday. As for the bundle, the rep told us that it's on until May 4th.

I used the Telus ADSL for 5 years, really suck service.
Whenever I called the technical support because of line dropped, It would take me an hour or so to get someone on line, then they would tell you that you can do self-fix online, WTF, why would I call for service if I were connected? During the strike I was without internet service for few weeks. Finally I get so fed up and called them for cancellation, then they tried to change my mind with a bunch of freebies.
Now I'm using Roger's 3G for $24 per month, and I do not have to deal with modems & Wi-Fi, I can surf the net anytime, anywhere even driving
