Hand held shower head

Looking for a powerful hand held shower head, I bought a new shower head, the water spray mode is very weak.

I use spray mode mostly.

Any input?

Thank you.

before you make your next purchase (or ended up disappointed), get someone to check your water line pressure first.

If it's lower than 75psi, you have pressure issue (and in that case: no handheld shower device will satisfy you). 75~90psi seems to be the norm these days and for some PEX hose home owner: the builder or the water tank guy would typically crank the pressure up as high as 120psi (seen it before), and even though you get excellent pressure for your handheld, you run the risk of line bursting and/or water tank seam cracks when they become old (weak).

Thanks Q.,

Can you tell me how to check the water pressure. If the water pressure is within the norm range, can you suggest any shower heads?

Thank you in advance.

Most shower heads are designed to function based on the standard of 75psi. Anything less: your shower head will not function properly. Too much: it may function "too well" or even damage the shower head.

If you want to check it yourself:Get a gauge from either Home Depot or Rona, like this:

and then test it on 2 locations: 1 is the water outlet from your outside faucet; and then if possible (be careful, it's hot water!) from the manual water outlet drainage tap on the end of your water heater tank:

Do they still have it? Our current hand held one is getting old and some of the rubber tips fell off. Prob time to replace it.

Thank you,

It is good----------- returnable.

Dissemble the shower head, remove the piece of round disc with a pin hole on it which is used to reduce the water flow. The disc usually locate between the handle & the hose.

Yeah returnable, but long line up.

I think Costco constantly stock it but I bought when it was on sale.

I will need to watch the RFD post and buy it next time when it's on sale again.
