There is nothing wrong about it all. Even though we don't eat dogs, we should not force our so-called culture on other people. It is very undemocratic and arrogant to force our own culture on other people. Dogs are not endangered species like blue fin tuna.
Domesticating pets is not humane anyway, as animals should live with other animals, not humans.
As there are more and more pet dog owners in China, dog eating will be reduced over time. But it is just wrong to impose our culture on other people.
I think it's the western people who need to be educated to ACCEPT the different kinds of cultures that exist in other parts of the world. North American standards are not the only acceptable ones.
if china government thinks eating dogs is ok, why it proposed to ban eating dogs early this year? if it is not ok, why it is promote to eat dogs now.
