I don't know the exact names of who voted for what, but it looks like all the Establishment council members voted for the funding approval, while the majority of pan-democrats (including those in the Pigeon Party) have voted against it.
As it stands, the HKD$67 billion mark already means each HK resident will bear over HKD$10k worth of cost. When this budget blows over (as it most certainly will), we'll see who has been right all along, and we'll know who to blame.
Remember the 領匯 mall / market privatization scandal, anyone? Obviously, HKSAR government haven't had enough of its stupid mistakes.
This project will create tens of thousands of much needed jobs for the construction workers. This is a big boost to HK's economy and will link HK to mainland China's highspeed railway which is good for commerce and tourism.

You stupid moron, according to your logic, no construction should be done in HK, since most engineering equipment will be imported from mainland China or other foreign countries.
