World Vision has published its finanical statement on thier web site. I ain't no accountant , don't take my word for it. If you take their administaration cost and divided by the money they made on 2007, you got about 5.9 something %. If you take admintration cost plus fund raising cost, you got 18 some %.
I personally think that the fund raising cost is a bit high. Again, I ain't no accountant , don't take my word for it. I personally also like the good deeds World Vision is doing. Besides, the Wong Tze Wah Talk Show every 2 years were quite enjoyable.
Anybody who knows about World Vision out there, would you explain the adminstration cost %.
For 慈濟, they claim they will use 100% donation for the purpose, no administration. I believe them. If they lie, they are pushing the elevator button to 18th floor underneth.

Jpang,
For 慈濟, they claim they will use 100% donation for the purpose, no administration. I believe them. If they lie, they are pushing the elevator button to 18th floor underneth.
As far as I know, their official member have to paid annual member fees.
And I think that's where their admin fee came from.
I'm not sure about their internal structure but my mom is their newbie member.
She has to paid $30+ for her uniform and $120 for membership fee.
they have different level of members base on their volunteer hours, the more hours you work, you will be on the higher top. That's mean you are more committed to be a volunteer. The highest members group has to attend class session. My sister-in-law parents and grandma are the highest members group. They have to travel from the island to Vancouver to attend class session and all travel cost are from their own pocket.
And from their "dai oi drama" tape about the Tzu Chi hospital in Taiwan.
The doctor drove all the way from the urban city to the Tzu Chi Hospital in countryside and help the patient free of charge. And rush back to urban area to work for his formal jobs. Same with all the nurses.
i just donate to red cross thru their web site, and they will send you a tax receipt by email in less than 1 minute after the donation, it's fast and simple, maybe they have a little admin fees, but seems like they act the quickest when it comes to disaster relief compare to others charity, i believe life saving is always the earlier the better.
