chinese new year parade ,
i saw lots of cameras in the rain
from my own camera, the only interesting things in the photos are people's faces
i particularly like the 2 kids under the dancing dragon,
my aim was to shoot the dragon,
its not an interesting photo of the dragon, but i like the
way the people pose themselves in this cropped photo
the kid in a warm pink coat with a hood to keep out the rain is the star
i only see this kid when i am looking at this picture long after i took it
another look of the new year parade,
my camera starts to get wet from the rain
while browsing flickr for other people's vancouver photos
i see one that is not related to the chinese new year but if of great interests to me
its vancouver 1989, ( 19, almost 20 years old photo) by grco61
"From Queen Elizabeth Park, from a photo scan. In the "OLDE" days, before the trees grew up and obscured the view. ""
not only the trees were young, but many buildings on the north side
of false creek were still not there yet
grco61 also has a photo of san francisco 1991 aerial view
here is what grco61 says about his cameras

eagle on old tree , photo 2
saturday, saw a high flying eagle partying with some crows in the sky
later , a guy with a DSLR was shooting at a eagle resting on a tall conifer
by an apartment building
he told me the eagle nest has been there for 2 years now
sunday , i took my camera with me, after a few minutes of looking at
the nest, the eagles flew back for a photo session that last only a few
munutes before they flew south
when the eagle spreads its wings and fly over hastings street,
over the pond, the horse racing course to the water over the harbour
i press the camera button, and it does not wake up
so we only have a pic of the eagle at rest
