He is not a real rich person to me. Real rich people are normally pretty low key. I don't think this guy is nearly 10% of what one of our friends has. Just to give you an idea. One of his (our friend) vocational house worths more than 10 million US. He bought a house on 普吉島 on a vocation just because he didn't want to stay in hotel.
Don't take me wrong. Our friend took it as an investment opportunity when he bought the houses.
More importantly, you won't know he is a rich person when he walks on street. He dresses like one of us and doesn't mind to eat 大排檔 as long as it appears to be clean enough.
He obviously isn't the richest person in the world. I'm sure there are people with 100 times, 1000 times or more his net worth. But yeah, he's still rich in my books. Maybe just cuz I'm a poor bum...
Just like poor people, rich people comes in many different shapes and sizes. Not all of them likes to put photos of their gold bars and stack and stacks of cash up on FB, but not all of them like to eat at 大排檔, either... LOL
Yes, rich people come in different shapes. However, I believe there is one thing the real rich people do not need to do is - showing off how rich they are.
Instead, I believe they are more interested in showing off how powerful and influencial they are politically or socially.
