Well .. put it this way, if China people love to go HK (or Van or wherever) to buy milk powder for no reason .. ok .. fine .. but why do HK people want to fight for it? why do they love milk powder so much? It is not that you cannot buy milk in HK wor ..
I still dont get it .. over here .. people won't even consider milk powder normally ...

Why people in HK want to fight for milk formula?
so I guess you are talking about why not breast-feeding instead? Some moms do experience difficulties to produce enough milk to feed her baby, and some mom needs to go back to work and they don't have the time to pump milk every 3 hours or so. Unlike Canada, HK doesn't have a 1 year maternity leave. Even for breast-feeding moms, they still need to rely on formula as a supplement sometimes
Once a baby has been using the same brand of milk powder, it is very difficult to switch to another brand as the baby may not get used to or at least need some time to get used to new brand. So if the brands the babies have been using is short in supply, it freaks their parents out!!
