the point is.. if he doesn't withdraw and continue, what if he get charged & arrested?  If that happen, can he continue on ?  of course not.  so, eventually he will get charged for sure.  

However, if he withdraw, his opponent may let him go.

you are not right.   the house transfer to under his wife name a year ago.  when the house was built, it belong to both of them.
