If he just ASKED if it is a BC car .. then hard to argue..

This case, if in his BILL OF SALE, indicated the car has never been reg out of B.C, and somehow, it was .. then he can complain.

If the dealer is a "well-known" one, I don't think they will try to ruin the reputation just to  cheat a few thousand $$$ off a sale.

Either way, this story fake or not, 1 side story or not, it does help remind us to ask specifically if a car is registered outside of BC, which is the point of this article and/or the victim's point.
