gas price (Canada vs USA vs Mexico)

assuming 1CDN=1USD, for simple calculation.

1.377 per L = 5.21 per Gallon

Time magazine says that avg in US is 3.82 per Gallon, and they still go down south, Mexico, for their 2.95 per Gallon, roughly 0.7793 per L.

Taxes made up the majority portion of gas price.

If you think Canada's gas price is bad, take a look at HongKong and Europe.  In UK for example, number-wise they are paying about the same - also 1.3x per liter, but this is in pounds, so they are about 65-70% more extensive than us.  Worldwide, I think we are somewhere in the middle on gas price.
