Adding a bit more on the Domke
I find it to have sufficient padding. It's perfectly sized (smallest size you can fit 2 short lenses + a long lens). It's so well sized that it feels like a normal messenger bag. I have used Crumpler before. The outer shell material is very hard, making it very bulky even if empty. Also, like LowePros, Crumpler is no longer an inconspicuous camera bag brand anymore, making it an easy theft target.
The major downside of the F-3XZ is that it have virtually no useful pockets aside from the main compartment. The main compartment is zipper protected tho however if anyone is interested. There's also no additional features (velcro silencer, etc) on the Domke.
A recent bag that I am interested in is the ThinkTank Retrospective line. That said I tried it at Broadway Camera and it seems to be slightly on the bulky side. Not really a perfect fit like the Domke. Give that a try if you don't mind a little bit of bulkiness.
