VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Today, we expect to hear the premier's big fix for the HST; it's apparently the thing that will soften the blow. News1130 is asking what would make the tax a little more tolerable for you.
"Nothing's going to change my mind about the HST," says one man. "They're taking money out of the pockets of the people who can't afford to spend the money."
The premier says she's heard them; among the most popular potential fixes are paying us off with cheques or rebates and a promise of a lowered HST in the future.
We should know today how Christy Clark will encourage us to keep the Harmonized Sales Tax next month. She has promised to offset that extra $350 in additional sales tax the average family pays with the HST.
