my concern is, everybody is accusing how the police handled this case, rather than the killer... I think the killer is the main person to be blamed, if he didn't do this, the whole tragedy would not happened at all... if he didn't kidnapped, who care how bad the Philippino police is? ppl are twisting their focus, they are very emotional, they didn't even call that guy 匪徒, instead called him 槍手, sooner or later he'll become hero tim la

I think why ppl focus on the police is because the 匪徒 was calm and willing to listen and released some hostages at the beginning.
So the police could have done something to change this whole tragedy to something not as bad and with a totally different ending.
People were angry that something could be done wasn't done.

Think from the dark side:
Filipino police doesnt' want the gunman to disclose anything to the public, that's why they do not response to what he requested.  He'd just wanted to talk to the media as he wrote on the papers.  He might disclose the 貪污 or any dirty matters.

Police wants to 滅囗, both the gunman and the hostages.
